“Runnin’ Rebs”? Did she deliberately invoke the Confederacy, or was that a typo?

From time to time here, we’ve discussed the possibility of a nutbag like Palin getting elected president. I think most of us agree that if conditions were bad enough, the electorate would ignore the obvious lunacy and stupidity of a candidate to lash out via their only venue: a ballot, thus ushering in a new era of crazy that could make the GWB regime look like the good old days in comparison.

Well, we’re seeing a test case of that theory in Nevada. Sharron Angle is at least as crazy as Palin—perhaps crazier. The economy in Nevada is awful. Will that be enough to prompt Nevadans to elect a transparent kook to the US Senate? Looks like it might be.
