Sweet’s “Blockbuster” on ukulele

One thing’s for certain, if Gus & Fin upload a new video to YouTube, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find it embedded here.  If it’s a cover of a cheesy (but catchy) glam-pop semi-hit from the 70s, its chances of finding its way here improve dramatically.

Complete with starbursts. Or is it that I really, really, REALLY like Gus and Finn?

I think Rich Lowry is lying on the floor in front of them watching Media Malpractice.

Oh no, Richbursts? Lucky Gus’s uke is probably plastic.

So Rich’s TV Pal is Sarah Palin. It all fits.

This whole ukelele thing is nearly as sick as my own obsession with collecting theremin-and-klezmer covers of “The Safety Dance.”

Get that shit on YouTube now!

PS: My in-laws are Polish-Americans and are fond of a local polka radio program. Did you know there’s a polka version of “Blister in the Sun”? It’s a weird fucking world, people.

“We just haven’t got a clue what to do!”:  official 2009 slogan of CPAC.

Well done.  I like ‘Blockbuster’ but I think ‘Fox On The Run’ is my favorite Sweet song, catchy as hell:
