Teabagger Convention Goes Off The Rails

Tom Tancredo ODs on multiculturalism

Joseph Farah of World Net Daily goes full birther.

Tom Tancredo, the keynote speaker, can barely contain his racism.

All told to the mighty crowd of….600 registered Teabaggers.

...and yet even MSNBC gives it more coverage than 100,000 anti-war protesters in DC.

Actually nearly every media outlet is giving it more coverage than the war protests. I can’t believe MSNBC is carrying Palin’s speech live. I know part of the reason is so that they can point and giggle, but it still lends it a degree of credibility it most certainly doesn’t deserve.

The two furry bunnies comforting each other in this picture are making me laugh too hard to pay attention to anything else. Sorry, did somebody want tea?

I love this stuff:

“Our way of life is under attack. I truly believe they are trying to destroy this country. It’s just hard to say who ‘they’ is.”

Farah said he believed establishing lineage was important for leaders, using Jesus’ genealogical ties to King David as an example.

I hope the tea baggers keep getting publicity; they’re simply beyond parody.

Read this lede from the Washington Post and vomit:

NASHVILLE—The 600 delegates at the National Tea Party Convention feel taxed to death, ignored by their elected representatives and the media, and appalled at the federal government’s spending—and there are millions of Americans just like them.

Delegates?

Who elected these wide-load mouth-breathers to represent them?

NASHVILLE—600 suckers shelled out $549 to wallow in an orgy of racism.  And millions of Americans couldn’t decide whether to point and laugh or weep for America’s future.

There’s your lede, fucking Washington Post.

1 reporter for every 3 ‘baggers.  That has got to be some kind of record for coverage of a convention.  Wonder where the $230,000 not going to Palin is headed.

how many people there knew that Jesus had genealogical ties to King David?
