Yeah, just ask President Dukakis, who once held a 17-point lead. I think this is gonna be a close election because this is a deeply divided country. Will evil triumph (with a 400-or-so-vote assist from PUMA) to bring us another 4 years of a belligerent foreign policy, anti-woman, anti-middle-class, pro-plutocracy legislation, etc.? You’d like to hope so. I’d like to hope not. We’ll find out soon enough.

Some previously respectable bloggers at Corrente Wire lost my respect when they began seeding various comment threads with caustic anti-Obama rhetoric. I was quite surprised, but maybe it’s as Katrina was saying yesterday, the good part is it allows more differentiation and we can better see who we’re playing next to.

I just can’t understand why Barack Obama isn’t an acceptable substitute in your eyes, since he won the primary according to the rules, such as they were. As for Obama’s FISA crap, I have criticized him for it many times. Unacceptable on its face, but he’s still a million times better than John McCain. And what’s with Vast Left? His unwillingness to accept Obama astounds me. Ya think you know someone!
