Texas Tea Party Candidate Wrong Kind of Crazy for Glenn Beck

Glenn Back, High Epopt of the Founder-Fucking Flag-Hags, just coldly terminated a heavily-promoted telephone interview with former Ron Paul staffer and current Texas gubernatorial primary candidate Deb Medina. Medina, the pathoconservative Tea Party favorite whom Sarah Palin publicly rejected in favor of sitting Republican Gov. Rick Perry, had recently surged in the polls, feeding hopes that she could overtake second-place challenger Kay Bailey Hutchinson and potentially position herself for a run-off vote against Perry.

To Beck’s surprise, Medina refused to crush rumors that she is a “9/11 Truther” or distance herself from campaign staffers who have also been linked to the Truther movement. Beck, suddenly confronted by the paradoxical ramifications of pumping three hours of radioactive Illuminati bullshit into the public discourse every weekday, cut the conversation short, and spent the rest of his program trashing Medina as a “nut” and a “radical.”

Some blogs immediately called “fini” on Medina, although the Twitter reactions are evenly spit as to which lunatic wingnut, Medina or Beck, is the bigger traitor to “We The People.”

UPDATE: Here’s the interview excerpt:

LATER UPDATE: Freepers flip out. Rumors fly that Beck interview was an ambush. Medina responds.

That TexasSparkle post links to this which classifies Medina as a Paultard.

I’m popping some corn.

Allan, this is truly great. Palin endorses Rand Paul but shuns actual Paulites. Glenn Beck tells his listeners everything the government says is a lie, then tries to make an exception for the 9/11 story.

Later in the show, Beck compliments Alex Jones’ patriotism, but trashes him as a “paranoid.” Talk about walking a tightrope.

If any Texans are reading this, please don’t take this the wrong way—but I am glad I do NOT live there! Sure, we have governors who sell drivers’ licenses and senate seats, and lieutenant governor candidates who get on the ticket and then have to drop out when it’s found out that, oops, they held a knife to a hooker’s throat one time—but Illinois politicians just don’t bring the crazy like Texas does. I guess it’s true what they say—everything IS bigger there!

Of course, now I want Medina to get the nomination so Beck will either have to go back on what he says here or support a Dem.

Given enough time the non-truther dipshits will find a way to blame Obama and then it will be ticker tape parades and foot rubs for Medina.

I hope you aren’t attached to this ‘cos I’m stealing it.

@HTP—Feel free. Beck was at the briefing, so he knows how we’re going to play this. No hard feelings as long as the checks still cash.

Yet more confirmation that Beck isn’t a real crazy—he justs plays one on TV.

Which doesn’t mean I don’t think he’s messed up—just not messed up in the way he presents himself…

I guess he doesn’t like the funky cold Medina.

Try the veal!

If the blind lead the blind then both shall fall into the ditch.
