The “B” stood for “Bullshit”: McCain-Palin volunteer Ashley Todd admits she made up the attack story

A Pittsburgh police commander says a volunteer for the McCain campaign who reported being robbed and attacked near a bank ATM in Bloomfield has confessed to making up the story. Police say charges will be filed. More details to follow.

Police have called a press conference this afternoon and are expected to say that the inconsistencies in the story of a McCain campaign volunteer who told them she was mugged by a man who cut a “B” on her cheek when he saw a McCain sticker on her car have led them to believe it is a hoax.
UPDATE: Looks like she did etch the “B” on her cheek while looking in a mirror...
Ashley Todd, 20, of College Station, Texas, is expected to be charged with filing a false police report and may face additional charges, investigators said. She told detectives she etched a backward letter “B” onto her right cheek and then manufactured a story about being attacked at a Bloomfield ATM by a black man who was enranged by her John McCain bumper sticker.

Assuming this is true—which I do—she really screwed us nicely. She put people like me in a difficult spot as I was forced to defend her on the small chance she was on the level.

I gotta tell ya, I’ve never done a political hoax myself but I have to think I’d be a little bit smarter about it than this Krazy Kretinous Kow.

But, can’t argue with this…
It’s not just that she’s corrupt and crazy. I mean—obviously.
It’s also that she’s not even minimally competent at it.
The Republican Party is supposed to be Evil. Not “incompetent.”
Exactly. The GOP has been corrupt, crazy and evil for a long time now, but this year you’re incompetent, too. And that’s why November 4th is going to be one of the best days ever.
