The Fernwood Gun Association

A skit from one of the most underrated sitcoms of all-time, Fernwood 2 Night. It’s amazing that all of the things that they’re satirizing in this 70’s TV show are still relevant today.  Some things, unfortunately, never change.

p.s. Fred Willard is a funny, funny man.

Great clip from a very funny program. Fernwood was broadcast on the UBS Network, “We put YOU before the BS.”

Fred Willard is a genius.

Yes, he is. For argument’s sake I would say his best is on the Fernwood shows and as the color commentator in “Best of Show.”

I was just thinking of “Best in Show.” He and Catherine O’Hara are pretty great in “Waiting for Guffman” as well. I adore Catherine O’Hara and had the strangest meta experience while watching “For Your Consideration.” Which is not the greatest Guest flick ever, but I kept thinking “Man, Catherine O’Hara is so awesome in this, she should get an Oscar nomination!”

Fred Willard is a genius.

Yeah, but I knew that already. What I didn’t know was that the creative force behind Fernwood was this dude.

I knew he had a more impressive resume than his rep would suggest, but Jesus. Fernwood, Pryor—the man deserves cred reparations.

Totally agreed, Gil. Wow!

I watched every episode of fernwood 2 night and america 2 night.  Total addict.

Fred Willard was great, but I think it’s really the combination of Willard with Martin Mull that made this series pure dynamite.

I tried to find it, but couldn’t on the google. Normal Lear described Fernwood as perhaps not his important series, culturally speaking, but his funniest. I absolutely agree.

God knows how I love the purely silly.

j’agree
