The Midnight Ride of Darragh Revere

This has been going around Boston:

The Midnight Ride of Darragh Revere

Listen my children and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Darragh Revere,
In the political campaign of two thousand eight;
She and her kind were stormin’ the gate.

Who remembers that famous primary day,
When mean Darragh said to Ioway:
“If the darkie should win in your state tonight,
Hang a lantern aloft and cry feminist plight,
and unite with me as a beacon of white.”

“One if by land, and two if by sea;
And I for the opposite party will be.”

But wait said some who googled her name,
In campaigns gone by she gave to McSame.
Never to Kerry, not to Gore,
Not a penny to Edwards, nothing more.

“One if by land, and two if by sea;
If you nominate a black, I’m for Hillary.”

She’s ready to ride and spread the hate,
The PUMAs in tow won’t deviate.
The feminist cause on Fox she’ll spew,
Never admitting her racist view.

One if by land, and two if by sea,
PUMAs are for the white nominee.

(With apologies to Longfellow)
