The Moose Bull Party

Zandar’s got the lowdown on Sarah Palin not ruling out a third party run. I predicted that somewhere last week. She’ll never get the Republican nomination in ‘12 (even they’re not that crazy), so if she still has anything resembling mojo in a couple of years (that’s a fairly large “if,” though), don’t be surprised to see her riding the top of some kind of teabagger-type ticket. Chances are pretty good that, once again, she’s going to be one of the best things to happen to Obama.

MORE: Steve M. has another take on this. I have a hard time imagining the base turning on her, though.  I don’t see the parallels between her and Giuliani or McCain. The base is never going to fall out of love with her unless there’s some unforeseen scandal coming down the road. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

To echo the gathering Democratic meme, “Please, Sarah, Please.”

I keep imagining a version of the Apple 1984 commercial where Sarah Palin jogs into the Republican National Convention and throws a moose through a TV screen with Michael Steele’s face on it saying “We’re in the house!”
