I was having a discussion with icebergwedge on the phone yesterday and we were trying to decided who’s dumber, PUMAs or nutters?  Personally, I’m stumped.

I think the better choice would PUMAs vs. A Glob of Red Playdough, but that still leaves us with a tough decision.

I just read a post by Hamsher that left me with my fucking jaw hanging down. I understand Palin’s got a vagina, I happen to adore humans with vaginas, but to claim she’s inexperienced is to be condescending? How?

I let you know when I figure it out for myself.  My first reaction when I heard she had a 5-month with Down’s Syndrome, was “how is she doing VP?”

She’s a creationist who, until a few months ago, didn’t know what the job duties of the Vice President of the United States. How can you pass high school government class and not know that? Inexperienced, I think, is overused, but certainly not condescending. The facts are the facts, afterall. And if someone needs to do a quick google search for this particular job title, then they have no place in the federal government. I don’t care what her gender is.

How about calling her willfully ignorant- as is quite apparent? Or, perhaps considering her former dislike of both the VP position and Hillary Clinton, a hypocritical opportunist? Or, considering the fact that she flew to Texas while her amniotic fluid was leaking (putting her unborn child’s life at further risk) and flew back to Alaska to give birth in a center with no NICU, irresponsible and selfish?

None of that would offend this woman.

My husband and wondered what McCain was looking at when Palin gave her speech today.

My husband hasn’t followed the PUMA saga closely and didn’t know who Murphy was. I was at the store when she appeared on Hardball, and when I came home, he said something like “OMG, they had this blithering, vacuous psycho on Hardball for no apparent reason,” and gave a short description of her. I said, “Was her name Darragh Murphy?” And he said, “Yes, that was her!”

HumboldtBlue - I would add just to keep it on a real concern troll level - you’re just really WORRIED about this stuff.  There are plenty of us female persuasion types who will be out there smacking her in the face every chance we get ;).
