The New Land’s End Catalog is Here! The New Land’s End Catalog is Here!

Oh, wait. Fuck. Never mind.

AP gets a first look at the final cover art for SP’s forthcoming book, America By Heart. Here’s the Harper Collins promo blurb at Amazon:

Framed by her strong belief in the importance of family, faith, and patriotism, the book ranges widely over American history, culture, and current affairs, and reflects on the key values—both national and spiritual-that have been such a profound part of Governor Palin’s life and continue to inform her vision of America’s future. Written in her own refreshingly candid voice, AMERICA BY HEART will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her-from the nation’s founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies. Here, too, are portraits of some of the extraordinary men and women she admires and who embody her deep love of country, her strong rootedness in faith, and her profound love and appreciation of family. She will also draw from personal experience to amplify these timely (and timeless) themes—themes that are sure to inspire her numerous fans and readers all across the country.

America By Heart will be released on November 23, just in time to make millions of Christmas trees thank Jesus they weren’t born pulp&paper-grade Scandinavian birches. Lynn Vincent, SP’s co-author on Going Rogue, was not involved in this project, which was primarily written by dead historical figures and the Muse of Fair Use.

That cover is very flaggy! Flaggy bracelet. Flaggy pin. She should have gone all the way and worn these.

I love how her name is in a font that’s about three times bigger than the title.  And she’s sporting not only a flag pin but a flag bracelet on a hand cunningly curled in a way to set starbursts flying for all the usual suspects.

Sarah and I haven’t agreed on a lot in the past, but from this picture, I think we would get along just fine in person. She wears lots of flags (as noted above) and so do I! I’m wearing my flag boxers and my flag button down shirt right now.

Oh, I fart in my boxers occasionally. Would that be offensive to her?

AHH! She has no ears! I never knew.

“By Heart”.

From Governor Sharpie.

Love it.

As seen all over the Internets at this point, former 1/2-Gov. Palin has been summarized quite well in this brilliant furrin animation (1:50), including her awesome fambly valyoos.

Say, is this the same lady who used to have that widely-watched “interview show” on Fox? I was wondering whatever happened to her.

i actually feel a bit stupider just from looking at the cover of that fucking thing.

I’ll stick with Uma, thank you.

PS - nice American Dad flag pin, Sarah.

How the kids doin’, by the way?

America By Heart

It took her six months to grasp that the I comes before the C, but yes, she finally knows “America” by heart.

Christ. I’ve worked on potboiler compilations like that. Spare a thought for the poor proofreader.

Though I think this is a case of misselling on a few grounds:

From the author of the #1 New York Times Bestseller Going Rogue

Dick Cheney is pissed she stole his book title.

That is all.

Meanwhile.

I like the phrase ” Written in her own refreshingly candid voice, ...”

I’m trying to think if there were a more graceful way they could have implied she dictated it, a la Barbara Cartland, to a secretary.  How does something get written in a candid voice? Is that like “sung with her own paints” or “viewed with her own fingers?”

aimai

“congealed from Sarah’s ramblings and rendered in her own eye-piercing caterwaul..”

That blurb sounds more like a Playboy Playmate Profile. Is it going to have her biggest turn-ons and turn-offs or just what kind of tree she’d like to be?
