AP gets a first look at the final cover art for SP’s forthcoming book, America By Heart. Here’s the Harper Collins promo blurb at Amazon:

Framed by her strong belief in the importance of family, faith, and patriotism, the book ranges widely over American history, culture, and current affairs, and reflects on the key values—both national and spiritual-that have been such a profound part of Governor Palin’s life and continue to inform her vision of America’s future. Written in her own refreshingly candid voice, AMERICA BY HEART will include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her-from the nation’s founding documents to great speeches, sermons, letters, literature and poetry, biography, and even some of her favorite songs and movies. America By Heart will be released on November 23, just in time to make millions of Christmas trees thank Jesus they weren’t born pulp&paper-grade Scandinavian birches. Lynn Vincent, SP’s co-author on Going Rogue, was not involved in this project, which was primarily written by dead historical figures and the Muse of Fair Use.

I love how her name is in a font that’s about three times bigger than the title. And she’s sporting not only a flag pin but a flag bracelet on a hand cunningly curled in a way to set starbursts flying for all the usual suspects.

Sarah and I haven’t agreed on a lot in the past, but from this picture, I think we would get along just fine in person. She wears lots of flags (as noted above) and so do I! I’m wearing my flag boxers and my flag button down shirt right now.

Oh, I fart in my boxers occasionally. Would that be offensive to her?

I’m trying to think if there were a more graceful way they could have implied she dictated it, a la Barbara Cartland, to a secretary. How does something get written in a candid voice? Is that like “sung with her own paints” or “viewed with her own fingers?”
