Also, Contessa Brewer just called out that blonde chick on the lack of media access to McCain and Palin, essentially saying, “well if this issue is so important, why aren’t we hearing directly from the candidates?”

The GOP continues to hide both McCain and Palin behind surrogates.  The media needs to call them out and demand that they face the press.  If we keep writing and calling the news outlets, they will get the message and create the narrative that McCain and Palin are scared of the press.

And that would be nothing but good for our side.

While the media has been worse than I ever remember it being this election cycle, I think they’re getting tired of this redundant dog ‘n’ pony show.  I read that both Halperin and Matthews were visibly disgusted last night and I think we’ll see a lot more of that after she regurgitated the same horseshit today.

Well she was either shooting from the hip in Colorado Springs the other day or the McCain speechwriters don’t have a clue what Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac do (she said that the takeover was because Fannie and Freddie were “costing the taxpayers too much money”.  Rachel Maddow didn’t back away from that one with her response on Monday night:  “Governor Palin’s views are . . still forming . . maybe? One issue - they weren’t funded by the taxpayers - at least they weren’t before the bailout. One hint Governor Palin: in the midst of a huge economic crisis precipitated by the mortgage disaster try to figure out even the most basic information about the institutions of the mortgage world before you try and talk about them into a microphone.”  Nice, Rachel.
