John Prine & Iris DeMent - “In Spite of Ourselves”
- CLOVERFIELD: My pal Mark and I went on a gay date to see Cloverfield yesterday because our wives would have none of it. This is his review. It didn’t have quite the same effect on me, but, good cripes, was the shaky camera gimmick annoying. Looking at Odette Yustman, not so much.
- RONALD REAGAN IS STILL DEAD: Frank Rich points out the obvious.
- IT’S THE NOTMEG STATE TO YOU, RUDY: The only bad news Rudy Giuliani got yesterday wasn’t John McCain winning in South Carolina, but also a new Connecticut poll was released showing him getting being badly beaten by McCain in the Nutmeg state after being clearly ahead in the previous poll. Couple that with a recent NJ poll showing him losing much ground there (falling behind McCain) and speculation that McCain will beat him in upcoming polls from New York and it’s starting to look like Rudy is running what may be the worst campaign in the history of the primaries. What a reversal of fortunes. Yippee!
