They got nuthin’

From The Swamp [via Kyle E. Moore]:

But given a choice of the first-term Democratic president [Barack Obama] and the former governor of Alaska, 55 percent of those surveyed by CNN pick Obama, 42 percent Sarah Palin.

That may have a lot to do with how many people view Palin, the Republican Party’s 2008 nominee for vice president, as qualified to serve as president: 30 percent. More than two thirds, 69 percent, say the Republican is unqualified for the office.

Obama’s own personal favorable rating stands at 57 percent in the CNN survey, Palin’s at 39 percent. More, 55 percent, hold an unfavorable view of her.

A lot of this also may help to explain why Palin is pursuing television and book deals rather than the party’s 2012 nomination. A Republican widely viewed as likely to seek the 2012 GOP nomination, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, stands a little stronger against Obama in the CNN survey of registered voters: Obama 53 percent, Romney 45 percent.

And for all of the crowing from the wingbaggers about how Palin’s post-quitting, “Sarah-being-Sarah” strategy is winning over Americans, every Palin poll question result indicates that the exact opposite is true. All of her numbers are getting worse (check out the last page).

So Hopey Changey beats Dopey Bitchy. Who’da thunk?

And how will Amy Siskind explain this to her daughter, also?

And the Huffington Post just broke the story on her super-secret speaking contract.

The Grifter continues to be revealed.

But Kevin, November is going to be a disaster for the Democrats, and that will prove this is a center-right nation and we’ll need Erick Erickson to explain it to us.

/CNN

Well, I’m pretty sure the Dems are fucked in Illinois as far as Obama’s senate seat and the governor’s mansion. Honestly, at this point, I’d rather vote to retain Roland Burris than Alexis Giannoulias. That guy has Blago Disease all over him.

I mean, I’ll still support him over Mark Kirk, but…

And the GOP gubernatorial candidate, Bill Brady, is a very frightening man. But Pat Quinn isn’t doing much to push back, which bothers me.

Only a bunch of loony libtards would believe a CNN poll. But I don’t blame you for wrapping yourself in a Big Blue Binkie of comforting MSM lies. The truth, if you could face it, would blow the foam right off your $10 cappuccinos.

See you in November, haters.

I’m crying in my arugula, Strange!

Apparently Meg Whitewoman has purchased every open ad slot between now and November already, which is excellent, because by then everyone else will be as sick of her as I already am.

At this point I think Jerry Brown could run an in-column ad in the Pennysaver announcing his candidacy and still beat her, but eventually Jerry’s going to have to come out of hiding and tell us what he plans on doing to save the clusterfuck that is California.

November is going to be a disaster for the Democrats

I’m actually afraid that’s going to be the case if the economy doesn’t start turning around faster. That said, it’s turning around much faster than it would have if Repubs were in charge, but the Dems don’t seem to be doing a very good job of making that case.

Then again, either the same or a different CNN poll suggests that generic voter preferences are shifting Dem-ward.

And the Huffington Post just broke the story on her super-secret speaking contract.

Not really. What HuffPo picked up on was the work of CalBuzz, the SacBee and some other newspapers who have been taking a peek into what the Chancellor of CSU Stanislaus is doing with public money.

State Sen. Leland Yee has been clamoring for three years now for more transparency in both state university systems and getting a collective middle finger back. Last week he teamed up with the AG’s office after CSU Stanislaus officials refused, under a murky state law, to turn over any documents related to the upcoming Palin speech because the negotiations had been handled through the university foundation, not the school administration itself.

That made Yee laugh, because the Chancellor and the vice chancellor are ... as you may have guessed from my tone, the chair and vice chair of the Stanislaus foundation. It was under those auspices that Palin was paid.

As I noted over at BJ, the story isn’t the Alaskan grifter and her penchant for removing rubes from their cash, it’s about more lying state officials who don’t want to come clean about how they spend tax dollars.

Acting on a tip, two poli-sci students meandered over to the admin building on Friday, a mandatory furlough day mind you, and found admin staff attempting to dispose of records from the foundation, some of which had been shredded, but some that had not.

They turned over their findings to the AGs office. Some of the materials were of Palin’s demands. Again, I don’t give a fuck about her or what she is paid, I care about the shitheads who would pay her with my money.

And how will Amy Siskind explain this to her daughter, also?

Well, if 69% of Americans don’t think Palin is qualified to be president, that must mean that 69% of Americans are sexist liberal men!

(Stamps foot.)

Liberal! Media! Brraaaawk! Braaaaaawk!

that will prove this is a center-right nation

@Al—Nobody can survive in the center-right.  It’s a vast wasteland. ;)

Sorry, but how the heck does Palin rate 42%?!  That makes me sad, actually.

I’m actually afraid that’s going to be the case if the economy doesn’t start turning around faster. That said, it’s turning around much faster than it would have if Repubs were in charge, but the Dems don’t seem to be doing a very good job of making that case.

If unemployment doesn’t get back down to under 8%, we’re due for a perpetual cycle of vote-out-the-incumbent.

...Jesus flaming hell in a cocktail glass, who are the 3% of Republicans who are supporting RICK SANTORUM for 2012?

who are the 3% of Republicans who are supporting RICK SANTORUM for 2012?

Zandar, they are the sad miscegenated offspring of man-on-dog sex, or, as the breeders call them “HumaPoos.”

I’m actually afraid that’s going to be the case if the economy doesn’t start turning around faster.

Oh ye of little faith. The elections are still six months away.  Barack’s on a roll these days.  And the economy is turning.  The Dems just need to get out the word to stay on message about health care reform (which is FINALLY getting my sister and her husband health insurance due to the small employers credit which kicks in like, now) and paying taxes to breathe and stuff won’t really be that bad when we get used to it.  ;-)

@marindenver—

stay on message

My message is “At least we’re not them.”

Remember how everyone complained that the stimulus was too small and the money wasn’t going to be spent fast enough?  It was a really bad thing that a lot of the spending wasn’t going to kick in until… 2010.

Well, it’s 2010, bitches.

It remains to be seen how much it will impact unemployment, but this is the year when many more projects will break ground.

Keep in mind, only 30% think she’s qualified to be president and 42% want her to be president.  That means, at minimum and I’m paraphrasing here, 12% of people surveyed are willing to have Grifty the Clown as president over the black guy.
