At least the Farellys aren’t soiling the memory of the Ritz Brothers. I couldn’t stand the sacrilege.

I like the 3 Stooges. Still, four words come to mind: Nuke it from orbit.

IIRC we settled the “3 Stooges is a Guy Thing” proposition in a thread a couple of years ago - for some reason I think a discussion of Sarah Palin, then newly on the scene, may have precipitated it.

But it’s true.  I can’t stand the 3 Stooges and looking at the cast list of this thing it looks like it will be beyond awful.  Why would Jane Lynch DO something like this to her career? ;-)

I’m with ya Mar, Lynch is comedy gold and just looking at these three .... these three .... people makes me angry, much in the way Dr. Banner got angry and you won’t like me when I’m angry.

If it’s a guy thing, then I must have a partial deletion on my Y chromosome that handles such things - because I LOTHE the Three Stooges.  I find them hugely overrated and unfunny.

A remake of the stooges just sounds like the movie version of eating stale moldy store-brand grape nuts.  The original is bad enough, why make it worse?

@asiangrrlMN — Let me be the first to acknowledge that, if you can’t stand the original Stooges, watching a movie featuring knock-off Stooge re-enactors is likely about as appealing as looking at naked pictures of a stranger who isn’t your mother, but looks like her.

Agreed 100%, Knittingbull. I luuuurve Monty Python. I’m also an avid football and baseball nut, so it’s not like I can’t appreciate some things that are supposed to be “guy” things. But the Stooges leave me cold.
