Things That Are Amazing To Me #2847

Even though I regularly read blogs written by horrible, petulant Hillary Clinton supporters that exist solely to tell the world HOW MUCH BARACK OBAMA SUCKS several times a day (or even hourly), I still think “Wow, that’s pretty harsh” when I read one of the relatively few anti-Clinton blog posts penned by an Obama supporter these days.

Why is that?

I thought the BooMan went easy on Hill n’ Bill.

Oh yeah, I know. I am citing a Politico review of a Halperin book. It’s anonymously sourced and told by unreliable gossip mongers. I know that. Grain of salt, and all that.

...but then he couldn’t help himself. Odd, that.

Booman portrays Hill as a competant pol with cutthroat tendancies.  Sounds pretty accurate to me.

I did always really want to know what was happening in Camp Clinton during the primaries.  I had a perception of a bunch of bad advice and infighting so that comes as no shocker.  Now, those “senior” aides speaking anonymously all have their own agendas, largely protecting their own hides.

But to get to the point where the only one to speak about Hillary on the record is Mark Penn?  That’s just sad..

One who did rise to the Clintons’ defense was pollster Mark Penn, subject of some of the tome’s most caustic comments, and one of the few former insiders who remains close to the Clintons.

(yes, yes, politico and all that….)

one of the few former insiders who remains close to the Clintons.

I don’t know if that statement’s entirely accurate. I’m pretty sure they still have good relationships with Wolfson, Daou, Lanny Davis and Ickes.

Kev, I think the unwritten rest of that statement is “and was willing to talk to Politico.”

Part of the point of the article (and this was on Countdown—I think—last night) is that usually when a critical book or story would come out, there would be hordes of Clintonites rushing the airwaves.

I wonder (and this is pure speculation on my part) if Hillary has realized that Sec of State is her way to make her mark and she may be happy and content with that position…and over and done with the drama?  And that Obama ends up being a president she can respect and that their relationship is working for them and for our country?

when a critical book or story would come out, there would be hordes of Clintonites rushing the airwaves.

It could be because no one’s really talking about the Clinton parts. All that seems to be getting attention is the Reid quote and, to a lesser extent, the stuff about Palin.

I too take it all with a grain of salt—coated with delicious schadenfreude!

If true, however, it does tend to give the lie to Poor Little Innocent Babe in the Woods Peter Daou telling us that he had no idea about No Quarter pushing racist memes. Why, he was only HRC’s Internet Director and Had Very Important Things To Do, no doubt.

Thanks for reminding me about dmd76’s classic comment:

What an ingenious rhetorical device, Mr. Daou! Appoint yourself arbiter of the importance of things, and then dismiss your critics’ concerns as unimportant. I can see how it would be very difficult to win an argument with you. Have fun on your Very Important Walk.

Kevin, I’ve always envisioned an A.A. Milne Winnie the Pooh book just for Petey Pants:
Peter the Daou and the Very Important Walk

Peter the Daou and the Very Important Walk

That’s great. If I wasn’t cross-eyed thanks to my good pal insomnia right now, I’d definitely crank up the Photoshop and take a whack at that.

See, now this is meat I’ve been waiting for - not that Reid nonsense that’s taken over the airwaves.

True that it is Politico and all and it does seem pretty unreasonable that Hillary was refreshing No Quarter every 10 minutes for breathless updates on the Whitey Tape, I’m NOT surprised if she was being told these things by someone else.

Think about it, without knowing what a sleazeball Johnson was/is and somebody told you they had a juicy bit on your opponent, wouldn’t you get excited, too?

And Kevin, it’s because you’re a normal human being, that’s why - not a bitter shrew.

And now we have Peter Daou and the Very Important Defensive Post at HuffPo.

I tried to post a comment asking him about HillaryHub linking to No Quarter, but it hasn’t gone through moderation, or it’s been censored.

Sadly, I bet the video evidence of what really happened, if we had it, would be even more distasteful. But so? Why all the hate?

I wonder (and this is pure speculation on my part) if Hillary has realized that Sec of State is her way to make her mark and she may be happy and content with that position…and over and done with the drama?

Uhhuh. mte. The Clinton’s are on message, doing good work, holding the line. All and all, they are one of the best things this administration has going for it right now.

NO one could be that nefarious….I mean…haha Could they?
