Through the Looking Glass Darkly McHottie?

‘The time has come’, McHottie said, ‘to talk of many things: of shoes and ships - and sealing wax - and cabbages and kings.’

Did you really believe all the hype about your awesomeness Scottie?

Well let’s see, there was the King and Queen of, um, Homecoming, and er, King Friday, and ah, the Dairy Queen….

I’m thinking he meant to convey that he knew important people, but may not always know the difference between kings and cabbages. They don’t all wear crowns (the kings, not the cabbages—that’s the first thing he learned while campaigning.)

Just the other day, I was walking the dogs, and I ran into Queen Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God Queen of this Realm and of Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith…

Oops, I meant to say, I ran into my neighbor who works at the post office. I just misspoke. It could happen to anyone.

Well, he does have many meetings with a certain Queen, but Mitch McConnell would rather not be referred to as such in public.

1 - Every day? Every single day? Sundays even? Vacation days?

2 - Just gonna go out and meet some foreign leaders and heads of state, and talk about security just ‘cuz ya feel like it? Don’t check with the State Dept. or anyone… just go for it! That’s his credo, “Go for it!” Everyone should have a credo.

The Senator’s New Clothes . . .

He’s talking about his weekly poker game.

I’m sorry, what were you all saying? I was too mesmerized by Scott’s chiseled jaw and those beautiful brown eyes…

[Also, too, the check word is “length11.” Mmm…]
