Trigger Happy

This morning I got embarrassingly wistful about the public option trigger (ugh) when they were discussing it on Morning Joe, so, yeah, what Steve M. said.

I don’t think the Dems in DC are evil or “no better than the Republicans,” as the lefty “burn down the house” blogs (aka “the 3%-ers”) have been snarling, but, as Steve notes, they have been incredibly hapless. Unfortunately, I don’t see that changing anytime soon. And that gives me the sads.

RELATED: The CBO numbers are out and they look good. I’ll gladly chalk that up as a victory.

MORE: The 3%-ers will not like this at all. The Dennis, he is a menace. [hat tip TS] [link removed—marindenver has it covered up here]

It’s hell to have to say that the only thing worse than passing this bill is not passing this bill, but there it is.

Personally, I’m not interested in spending the next 2.5 years watching the 3%-ers try to spin their collusion with the GOP to stall any sort of liberal agenda as a “victory for Progressivism.”
