VERY strange bedfellows

What do wingnut politicians Jim Inhofe, Jim DeMint and David Vitter have in common with left-leaning pols Bernie Sanders, Barbara Boxer and Russ Feingold? All want to shit-can Fed Chairman Bernanke.

Meanwhile, Treasury Sec Geithner warns that it’s a nice little market you’ve got there, and it would be a pity if something should happen to it. And New Hampshire Senator Judd Gregg thinks populism is icky.

So I guess in Geithner and Gregg’s view, Bernanke is too big to fire. (Damn if I know. I’ll be somewhat relieved when the corporations purchase the government outright and start making these decisions without bothering the rest of us with this kind of crap.)

In the meantime, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Shit-can Geithner and replace him with Elizabeth Warren.

Something’s rotten in Denmark.

There are powers-that-be trying to protect the Fed from exposure to the outside.  I suspect it has something to do with just how intertwined financial institutions (esp. Goldman Sachs) are with the Federal Reserve, and they’re scared to death of how the markets (and public) will react if this information is revealed.

Shit-can Geithner and replace him with Elizabeth Warren.

Here, here! Added bonus: That guy with the Jump You Fuckers! sign would get his wish.

There’s a lot wrong with Bernanke - about the only reason I can think of for keeping him around is that he really, really annoys Ron Paul.

Hillary Clinton or Sarah Palin would already have ended the Recession and replaced Geithner and Bernanke with Nancy Lloyd.

Send the men home!

I second the Elizabeth Warren nomination.

Make that a 3rd for Elizabeth Warren.
