An example is the video you posted yesterday, where Obama rises above the fray in a very dignified and respectful way. It’s not hauteur, nor is it elitism. It’s Obama’s articulation skill in rebutting the media and the McCain campaign in ways the other democrats she cites in her article were unable to do. Kerry couldn’t do what Obama did in that video, thus he lost the media war. Obama won’t. Obama has an actual vision that can be communicated and it’s one that involves thinking through the issues we face, and then attempting to solve them with an intelligent approach. Fresh air!

I find it a little… insulting, I guess, that a person like Lady R. has the gall to stand up and tell us Regular Joes and Janes what we need and who best represents our interests.  I’m also unclear on why she’s considered a knowledgeable political analyst whose opinions are worthy of the WSJ.  Have I missed something?

No, you’re not missing a thing—“Lady” Lynn is talking out of her arse, and the WSJ is doing its bit to stoke the fires of disillusioned Clinton supporter outrage in the service of the McCain campaign.

I sorta wish “Lady” Lynn would bring her patented brand of “abstract solidarity” down here to the local swamp buggy meet. Perhaps she’d be surprised to learn that the great unwashed might be so gauche as to “unseal a tin of whoop-ass” on her ladyship for her pains.
