Keep it up. We’ve got three cats that are definetely past their Best Before date. I’m contemplating some cat burglary.

Tin foil—that’s what I recommend for placing on top of the dirt in your plant pots till little Biscuit figures it out.

Some cats are especially fussy about a dirty pan, so I highly recommend two litter pans, with one coffee mug of litter in each, cleaned after each use.  Most cats, once they get older, only pee once a day.  I am on my second cat with the clean-after-each-use system.

It was my current cat, Our Gracie, who decided that two pans is better.  Several years ago, during a house renovation, I had set up a second pan in the basement, because that’s where I was essentially living, and discovered she was using one to pee and one to poop.  Once the renovation was done, I moved the second pan upstairs with the first one and she has continued using each exclusively for their single purpose.

Enjoy.  They grow up so fast.

I had a female cat years ago who pissed on a copy of Portnoy’s Complaint. Honest.

Thanks for the tips karen marie.  We’re keeping the litter box clean. (Actually, it’s an aluminum pan.  The litter boxes we have are too tall for her at the moment.)

I got really good at cleaning litter with Hubcap, who was sometimes peeing twice an hour after she got sick.
