Your Evening Biscuit

Getting a lot of complaints about not posting any additional pics of our kitten Biscuit.  Still adorable, still cute, still tons o’ fun (good cripes, I can’t convey how much joy she gave us tonight with a simple prop like a paper bag*)...

OBEY THE HYPNOCAT!

Check out the Egyptian markings around her beautiful eyes.  Such a lovely girl!!!  Much love to you all.

Sorry to post twice, but just a note—my late kitty Daisy (similar striking tabby markings) had a deep black nose during early kittenhood then graduated into a beautiful “cinnamon nose”—a deep brick warm red nosie with a lovely black border—as she grew up.

Anne, comment as much as you want. Thanks for input.

BTW, I have a lot of video of Biscuit running into paper bags. Sometime in the next century I should have them all compiled and uploaded to YouTube for a kazillion views.

Awww, she’s so cuuuuute!

Anne, my torbie has a nose like what you’re describing (I didn’t have her as a kitten so don’t know if it changed). I call it her “truffle nose,” because it looks like a cinammon-dusted chocolate truffle. She also has a “cappuccino toe”—the tip of her left front paw looks like she dipped it into cappuccino foam.

Yay for more Biscuit photos!

This is great. We adopted our rescue tabby at about 5 years old, so now I get to imagine what he’d have looked like as a kitten (pretty much a Biscuit with black paws).

And man, they never quite grow into their ears, do they?

Damn, I miss my late sweet kitty. Time to stop mourning and get down to the shelter.

Ode On A Glass Bowl

by Biscuit

THOU still unshatter’d clear round shininess,
Thou empty vessel at this my supper time,
Glowing receptacle, who canst thus deny
A hungry kitten’s nudge, more subtle than our rhyme:
What round-edged wobbling object in thy shape
sent crashing, or shatt’ring or both,
by temper, or the paws of kittenhood?

What big pink angry things are these? What humans loth?
What mad pursuit? What struggle to escape?
What pipes and timbrels? What wild ecstasy?

Those ears! Those eyes! Those big white paws! Sigh. I’m in love. Thanks for the Biscuit fix, Kevin. Now about that video… ;-)

Oh, she is so adorable!!! Her expressions are priceless and she is just a beautiful little cat. I especially like the photo on the white sofa. What a doll!

Time to hit the YouTubes and give Maru a run for his money.

Gotta love tabbies.
