Your Long Overdue Helping of Biscuit

I’m getting scolded a lot via email and the comments here about not posting more pics of Biscuit, so here you go.  The truth is that when she isn’t sleeping, she’s running around and jumping constantly, so it’s hard to get a shot of her with her eyes open. She’s not a big fan of staying in one place for more than a millisecond or two lately. She has also taken to “chirping” when she gets the crazy in her tiny, almond-sized kitty brain, which is unbelievably cool. We also have to keep the bathroom door closed all of the time because she’s taken out three more rolls of toilet paper since this happened. She had her second visit to the vet this week for her last round of shots and she’s in very good health. Our vet estimated she’s between 3½ to 4½ months old. She’s not our little Biscuit anymore.

First, to give you an idea of how much she’s grown since we first introduced you to her, compare and contrast...

And first it was paper and plastic bags, now she has a new toy…

Yes, she gets into it on her own.

She also likes chewing on my desk lamp. Yes, you read that right ... chewing on my desk lamp.

For the final shot, a fairly typical pose these days…

Now STOP YELLING AT ME! I have delivered the cute!

MORE: Rumproast pal J. has posted some pics of her sleek black cat Felix.

The cute! It makes me giggle!

She is so adorable. I know you must be having the best time with her around. Our young cat makes things much more fun, too. How do you get anything done at your house?

How do you get anything done at your house?

I was talking to Chris about how many things a lot longer having her around (making the bed, getting anything out of the closet, folding laundry, cooking, etc.), but it’s totally worth it.

donnah, maybe I’ll put in a request for folks to send me pics of their pets next week.  I rejected the idea earlier because I didn’t want to look like I was ripping off John Cole, but I guess a lot of other blogs do it, too.

Yay! I’ve never been privileged to have a cat from kittenhood (I’ve witnessed friends who’ve had pairs of kittens, which seems to be the cue for constant rioting), but to me they get even cuter when they get bigger. They never completely “grow up” unless they’re feral, and even then it’s a toss-up, if they find a human home. Domestic cats are always kittens under the toughguy bluster, and when they give in and let it all hang out, it’s adorable.

Now wait till she gets to 14 pounds or so and learns how to shoulder barge. There’ll be no privacy in the bathroom, or anywhere else.

Here’s to the adorable little varmint!

Dahhh! How cute!

Did I see a Bill Clinton bobblehead in one of those pictures?

I want a Biscuit.

Lots of bloggers post pet pics. I would say some of John Cole’s best threads started with pics of his cat Tunch and his wonder dog Lily. People love to show off their pets. It’s just human nature, I guess.

Of course, I would send you photos of my Gracie, as she is a remarkable cat, well worth the fur she’s printed on.

Did I see a Bill Clinton bobblehead in one of those pictures?

That’s actually a bobblehead of Brooklyn’s semi-annoying/entertaining borough president Marty Markowitz. I got it at a Brooklyn Cyclones game. Marty was there and he complained over the PA that they made him look like Newt Gingrich.

Wow, I must have psychic powers because I have been thinking that it was way too long between Biscuit posts. But where’s the video? ;-) (Some footage of Biscuit in the Quaker Oats canister would be award worthy.)

Those are great shots of the little devil. That first lamp shot is a work of art.

Thanks for the shout out. Took Fe to the vet this morning, where he charmed all the techs and the vet (unlike his sister, who requires full body armor and jousting gloves to be examined). Life is so much better with cats.

“Compare and contrast”: so, like, have you learned to say more than just ‘yeah?’

Biscuit ins the Quaker oats barrel: priceless!!

Thanks Kevin! Living with the allergic Mr. Polly, we both depend on Biscuit pictures to allay the catless despair in our empty souls.

Quaker Oats Biscuit almost shorts out our cuteness brain circuits. But more, we like it!

Yay, Biscuit!

Has she discovered your pens yet?  My Gracie forces me to keep my desk nice and tidy because, if I don’t, she walks off with the pens and paperclips and shreds the documents.

It’s about time.
