New poll: Palin about as popular as chlamydia in Alaska

Public Policy Polling:

[December 28, 2010] We’ve polled Palin’s favorability in ten states over the last couple months. In Alaska just 33% of voters have a favorable opinion of her to 58% with a negative one. The only place where fewer voters see her positively than her own home state is dark blue Massachusetts.

Ungrateful bastards! She’s been promoting the state relentlessly on Discovery Channel! But Co-Cultist-in-Chief Ian Lazaran over at Conservatives4Palin can explain:

In any event, it’s completely hypocritical for Palin’s opponents to cite Governor Palin’s ratings in one of the least religious states in the country as evidence of anything significant…

Oh, I get it: Alaskans don’t even love JESUS! Of course they don’t appreciate His Holy Vessel in America either.

A blogwar I’d like to see

Remember when Rumproast was a WAR blog? Back during the primaries when we used to relentlessly mock PUMA sites? Good times, but it couldn’t last forever: Though they still merit the occasional snark-ray, engaging in full-time PUMA-punting nowadays would be like running an anti-Quaalude website.

Still, good old-fashioned blogwars are fun to watch. It’s been awhile since I saw a truly fascinating online sissy-fight, but here’s one I’d like to see: Conservatives4Palin vs. Mitt Romney Central.

“Internet Powerhouse” Andy Martin to Announce 2012 Presidential Run

Hillary supporter, Original PUMA and Ur-Birther Andy Martin will announce on Wednesday his intention to run for President of the United States.

Internet Powerhouse and conservative Republican Party corruption fighter Andy Martin has scheduled a Chicago news conference for Wednesday, December 29th at which he is expected to announce his candidacy for the Republican Party’s 2012 presidential nomination. Martin is currently in New York.

Martin says the “last straw” in inducing him to run was Hawai’i Governor Neil Abercrombie’s latest attacks on the “Birther” movement. Martin is the de facto founder of the anti-Obama Birther movement that reflects doubts about Obama’s family origins.

This is good news for Obama supporters, since Martin will doubtlessly siphon the votes of angry working-class “lunch-box” White women and self-loathing Zionist Jews away from Dem primary contender Hillary Clinton, and could result in a credible Third-Party Constitutionalist challenge to Pussy-Ass Conservatives like Sarah Palin who mince around the whole “Natural Born Citizen” issue.

Run, Andy, run!

New Start Treaty Clears a Major Hurdle

After casually throwing all lovers of free speech under the bus, Obama dusted off his hands and got busy on the New Start treaty.  And successfully so, at least up to now, because, by a 67 - 28 vote, the Senate has voted to advance the treaty to a final vote on Wednesday.  Although only 60 votes were needed to bring it to the floor, a 2/3 majority is required to ratify it and it looks like that hurdle has been met.

And this despite the opposition of Repub Senators Mitch McConnell and Jon Kyl who seem to think we’re giving away the missile farm to the Russians.

One thing that might have persuaded some Republicans on the fence was a flyer being distributed by the Dems which asked “if you were making a major foreign policy decision affecting massive arsenals of nuclear weapons, would you tend to lean towards the position supported by:”

She knows her audience

Many American children—there’s just no delicate way to put this!—are fat, inert little bastards who will drop dead of heart attacks or succumb to horrendously expensive, difficult-to-manage and painful chronic diseases at an early age if they don’t stop mainlining Redi-Whip to satisfy the sweet tooth toot sweet. Michelle Obama gets this.

Snowflake Snooki? Not so much. Or at least she pretends not to understand that there’s a raging obesity epidemic that threatens to reverse life expectancy gains and bankrupt our already crappy health care system. Here’s a quote from her crappy show Sunday, in which Palin pretends to “camp” with her Juvenile Character props:

“Where are the s’mores ingredients? This is in honor of Michelle Obama, who said the other day we should not have dessert.”

Heh heh henghn! That feisty Sarah sure showed uppity Mrs. Obama!

Of course, Michelle Obama said nothing of the sort—she sponsors a kids’ health initiative that gently suggests parents of children who look like diminutive sumo wrestlers might want to encourage their offspring to be more active and substitute desserts constructed entirely from various forms of sugar and fat with desserts containing fruit.

But to Snowflake Snooki, that suggestion is tantamount to a totalitarian attempt to interfere with parents’ god-given right to funnel marshmallow-coated beef tallow down their kids’ throats.  At least she pretends to believe this. For money and possible votes down the road.
