From The Battlefield
Wow. I’m just dazed ... no doubt will have PTSD. I wandered into the PUMA you-tube debate, took on a PUMA and had my ass handed to me. Where can I get first aid?
elculver2424
dumb video. I’m a PUMA so if you got somethin’ to say, then come on.
elculver2424
Just because a republican might win, and McCain is the same party as Bush, it doesn’t mean anything. McCain can be like Bush in very little ways, but Obama is exactly like Bush in different ways. For the sake of our country, we can not vote Obama.
poputonian
OK Einstein, precisely how will Barack Obama hurt America? Be very specific.
elculver2424
I am not going to say anything. I can sit here all day and tell you bad things about him and what will happen if he gets in the White House. Everybody should know better by now.......
poputonian
Just as I thought ... you got nothing.
elculver2424
You really are no good. I told you I could go on for hours, and you probably think the people that say that don’t have anything. And I can understand that, but you are wrong this time. I truley could go on all day, so I’d rather not say anything to someone who won’t listen anyway........
poputonian
Well, don’t go on all day ... just give me very specifically the single most catastrophic way he will hurt the country.
crickets
chirp chirp
silence
silence
chirp
I wonder if it’s waiting for a PUMA leader to provide it a hint ...

Pappa Hensley Had A Concubine, Too
Watertiger reports on dysfunction within the extended Clan McCain:
So the media’s favorite blonde isn’t an only child after all? Beer Heiress Barbie has a--GASP!--middle class half-sister? A half-sister who was effectively cut out of Daddy Beerbucks’ will, to the sole benefit of Cindy? A half-sister, the existence of whom Cindy McCain has never publicly acknowledged?
...
How special is it that Cindy’s daddy treated his first wife with the same courtesies that John McCain treated his. Apples, acorns, trees. With a father like that, it’s no wonder that Cindy McCain hooked up with Ol’ Mavericky. Maybe Freud did have a point.
By the way, this story comes on the heels of the release of court documents on Saturday in which it was revealed that Roberta McCain, John McCain’s media-beatified mother, sued McCain’s first wife—you know, the crippled one who raised his kids--for the return of some relatively innocuous trinkets that she had given to Carol McCain during her marriage to Roberta’s sanctified son.
The lurid details.

The Millenials
Our Gen X pal Rob from FREEwilmaflintstone has a scathing piece up at Radar eviscerating the Disgracebook crowd:
Today, when a hip band allows Outback Steakhouse to co-opt one of their most beloved songs, Millennials don’t call it selling out. It’s a cogent business decision. To Millennials, it’s perfectly acceptable to transform the lyric “Let’s pretend we don’t exist / Let’s pretend we’re in Antarctica” into the jingle “Let’s go Outback tonight / Life will still be there tomorrow.” (Et tu, Of Montreal.)
Perhaps most troubling, the Millennials have effectively transformed the no-logo idealism of Gen X into the mantra “no logo except Apple.” Embracing “hip” brands is what often passes for cool with today’s trendsetters. Still, boomers continue to debase the values of my “downbeat” and “cynical” generation, perhaps tricked into thinking they have more in common with the Millennials since ponchos and hippie beards have become popular once again.

The Thursday Snark Sniffer
- Jesus’ General: “I admit I was a bit reluctant to accept CNN Headline News’s invitation to serve as Glenn Beck’s viewer last night.”
- Wonkette: “The Shiite-dominated government is the biggest problem in Iraq these days, just edging out Sunnis, Iran, Syria, Al Qaeda, the Turkish military, American incompetence, the invention of gunpowder, Blackwater, general poverty, the dry season, the fact that it’s the asshole of the world, and the liberal media.”
- Sadly, No!: “Ever since Skyy Vodka introduced their new line of ‘Smartinis’, Crazy Pammy has gotten extra-cunning. Luring us in with a picture of breasts other than her own, she pulls a quick switcheroo for anyone who, for a brief wonderful second, was enjoying being on her website by engaging in a fantasy genital mutilation of a beautiful lady who has had the poor taste to purchase property in an area adjacent to ragheads.”
- alicublog: “Like for instance, did you know that Dennis Miller is a Republican? Wow, I bet when the liberals find out about that, they’ll make him stop being funny ten years ago.”

The Thursday Snark Sniffer
- alicublog: “Giuliani is leading among Republican nominees based not upon the relevance of his experience—does America really need someone who can jail squeegee men or crack down on dancing in bars?—but on his reputation as an unrelenting prick.”
- Fables of the Reconstruction: “...Chavez may become as bad as those Western Hemisphere dictators that the Right used to root for, like that guy Pinochet who used to have his military give the opposition free flying lessons by throwing them out of helicopters over rivers with their hands tied behind their backs.”
- Tom Tomorrow: “Regnery gave them an inch and now they’re suing because they think they’re entitled to be rulers.”
- Lawyers, Guns and Money: “In the midst of defending once again the single worst argument in the pro-torture arsenal, Alan Dershowitz has finally been reduced to a sad parody of himself by claiming that torture—if good enough for the Nazis—is good enough for us.”
- Jesus’ General: “You need another funding source. That’s why I’m asking you to consider marching into the Sudetenland and invading Poland.”
- i am bossy: “Do you know what gets rid of toenail fungus? Dying.”
